I have reviewed Esther Harwell's notes on setting up comparisons and will now use the 7 steps of pre test by the book and carry that as a template/checklist whenever I may conduct an exam.

Its a start.

The Federal Pretest as Esther Harwell says:
Pre case preparation followed by
Step1. Introduction- Id, introductions, formalities
Step2.Overview- provide a 'menu' of what is going to happen (steps 3-8)
Step3.Rights Advisment and Consent- rights before consent
Step4.Biological data- determine suitability for testing, ask about prior polys, if they have done research but down play it,
Step5.PDD Explanation/F3- explain components, stress importance of 100% truthful answers required to all questions
Step6. Discussion of Issue
Step7.Question Introduction- after completion of relevant question review transition to comparison, stress that the questions are as important as the questions about the incident under investigation. Can say behavioral studies used by the Govt etc show that...(so it lessens odds of examinee fighting you on answering comparison type questions). use the 1-10 honesty scale ratio.
Set up the foundation before asking the question, if you ask too fast its easier for admissions.Throw some emotion into it, body language should support examiner disappointment to any admission on camparisons.
Then ACQT test
NB: Biggest mistake- To minimimize or excusing past behaviour related to comparison questions issues. the further we get away from the basics the worse the problem becomes.

Actually Ted, I do try to check your board at least once a week. I have just been busy (yes, some of us in the Government actually work). OK, maybe "some of us" is overstated.

Esther, you know I love you. What award did you get? I haven't heard. I do know you do good work and you have always helped when needed.

I do suffer from old zhiemers and can't remember if I had medial traning we may need to do that first.
